ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION: THE IMPACT OF HUMAN INTERACTION ON THE ENVIRONMENT

ABSTRACT
Whether it be deforestation in the Amazon Rainforest, the last remaining individual of an endangered species, or the incessant wasting of the Earth’s natural resources; all fall under the umbrella conservation. The goals of conservation include the preservation of biodiversity, supporting natural systems, and sustainability. When successful, conservation combats the continuous destruction of the Earth. The most affected group by environmental destruction are the animals that know and love; habitat loss is the reason for the endangeredness of 85% of all endangered or threatened species. As a person on the planet, each person possesses a personal responsibility to help the conserve the Earth we all inhabit.
